CadenaLingo is a product of Harris Multiservice LLC, a multi-service company registered in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the information of users of the CadenaLingo application and website (“Service”).

By using CadenaLingo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

When you use CadenaLingo, we may collect the following:

• Account information: Your email address when you register, used exclusively for authentication (magic link sign-in) and service communications.
• Learning data: Vocabulary progress, session history, quiz results, daily streaks, and lesson completions. This data powers spaced repetition and personalizes your learning experience.
• Content feedback: If you flag a lesson card for review, we store the report and your user ID to improve content quality.
• AI Chat conversations: Premium chat messages are processed in real-time by Google Gemini. Conversations are not stored permanently on our servers beyond your current session history.
• Payment information: Subscription and payment details are processed by Stripe, Inc. We receive only a transaction confirmation and subscription status — never your full card number or bank details.
• Usage data: Basic analytics such as which features you use and session duration, used to improve the app.
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and browser type for debugging and compatibility purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the CadenaLingo Service
• To personalize your learning experience with spaced repetition
• To sync your progress across devices
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send transactional emails (magic links, receipts, service notices)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform — Cloud SQL and Cloud Run) located in the United States. Learning progress is also cached locally on your device for offline access via a service worker.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed credentials, and role-based access controls. While we work hard to protect your data, no system is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Google Gemini (Google LLC): AI conversation processing for Premium users. Google Privacy Policy.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery (magic links, receipts).
• Google AdMob: Advertising shown to free-tier users. AdMob may use your device advertising ID. AdMob Privacy Policy.
• Google Cloud Platform: Hosting and database infrastructure.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and all associated data (see below)
• Export your learning data upon request
• Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Account and Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. To submit a deletion request:

We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Note that some data may be retained as required by law (e.g., financial transaction records).

8. Children's Privacy

CadenaLingo is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to cache your learning progress for offline use. We may use session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies except as part of Google AdMob for free-tier advertising.

10. International Users

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access CadenaLingo from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
